The missions program our church has chosen to use is called Faith-Promise. We make individual “promises” of how much we believe the Lord will provide for missions through our giving, and then we have “faith” that this will be done.
Faith-Promise giving in our church began with the 1987-1988 fiscal year and has continued throughout the years. Our fiscal year runs from November 1 through October 31.
How the Funds Are Spent:
“Designated money” is marked to go to a specific mission or missionary. Every dollar “designated” goes directly to that mission - no overhead is taken from these dollars.
Approximately half of our missionary giving is donated as “designated” and the remainder is called “undesignated money” which means the donor has left it up to the church to decide where this money should go.
A full accounting of every dollar received and spent is published on the bulletin board in the west hallway every month and in the annual congregational report.
